The Alchemist & Budgie - The G Code ft Action Bronson, Domo Genesis & Blu

The Alchemist has been a busy man over the last couple of years collaborating with artists and producers, most recently Lord Steppington with Evidence. Next on deck is The Good Book a project that will feature purely gospel samples with London producer Budgie. The two grab Action Bronson, Domo Genesis and Blu for "The G Code" the latest single from the project. All bars, no hook.

Blu - The West

LA's own Blu makes his return to the rap scene with the first single "The West" off his upcoming double album Good To Be Home which is set to drop May 20th. As I always say when it comes to Blu the more material the better, I just hope the double album will be Below the Heavens or No York! quality.

Since joining together to form Step Brothers way back in 2009 Alchemist and Evidence fans have been waiting for the duo to release a project. After being in the works for a few years Lord Steppington is finally available, featuring guests such as Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Roc Marci, Styles P, The Whooliganz, Fashawn, Rakaa & Blu.

Blu & Knxwledge - DRAGINBREFF

More Blu! Dammit! It seems like every few months Blu comes out the cut and drops greatness. There is always a common theme, one he grabs great production from a great underground producer (Knxwledge this time around) and secondly it's waaaaaay to short. How I wish this song could go on for a minute or two longer. Hopefully these two will do a project sometime in the near future or at least release more tracks, it seems likely as they used to be roommates that there has to be more in the stash.

The ever so enigmatic artist known as Blu is back with a video and it either has absolutely has nothing to do with the song or it fits it perfectly depending on your point of view. Either way the actual music is dope and classic Blu, good rhymes and dope samples.

[Video] Blu & Exile - Maybe One Day

The good ol' duo of the enigmatic Blu and crafter of his tunes Exile come together for this simple yet effective video for "Maybe One Day" sorta like the track. Blu drops some dope rhymes and even touches on his former buzz and as always Exile comes with that soulful sample.

Blu - Rap Dope

New tune from the enigmatic Blu called "Rap Dope" it's pretty dope but you've heard better from him. At least it sounds good quality-wise, surprisingly. Speaking of better quality, the mastered version of Blu and Exile's Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them is available now.

Once again we get a Blu project out of no where, I'm not complaining though. Blu hooks up with Madlib just as he did with Jesus and that same aural, spacey sound is featured. Official release date is February 22nd, but you can stream it from Blu's Bandcamp early, or cop it for the price of fifteen dollars. UPDATE: Apparently Madlib didn't have anything to do with this project. S/O to Back2Pluto.

One of my favorites from Blu's NoYork!, I am really enjoying this album, be sure to get it when it drops later this year (legally) I know I will. Top 5 releases this year to me.

Sidenote: Check the old school video game samples though! The production on this album is incredible.
