Hippodramidan (Avionadramida x SIR E.U) - FUCK TUESDAYS ft Cal Rips

Fuck Tuesdays from SIR E.U's WOMBO is the latest video from the KoolKluxKlan and duo known as Hippodramidan. Directed by Aliyah Sahar of KreativeKhaos this is the best video I've seen from the Klan personally. Love having E.U's lyrics on the screen so you can follow along. Kinda bittersweet to see the late great Avion in the video. AV10324VR.

Louseph Bruise Em' - Olé (Trés Mediocre)

Phonte and Median come together for "Eternally" one of my favorites off the former's album Charity Starts At Home, as with all Phonte videos released lately a little humor is featured. This time around Tigallo and Median go around the neighborhood trying to selling Phonte's album. Once again if you haven't heard Charity Starts At Home, I highly recommend you do so as it was the best album of 2011 behind Section. 80.

The latest drop in the Adult Swim singles series features a collaboration between friends Flying Lotus, Earl Sweatshirt and Captain Murphy. The weird mixing of the vocals aside, this isn't that bad of a track especially for a Adult Swim drop.

Action Bronson - Blackbird

New shit from Bronsolini! I actually meant to post this when it dropped a few days ago it must've slipped my mind. Anyway, Action coming fresh off his massacre of Elimination Chamber, destroys this track over some classic NY sound from Thelonious Martin. I definitely wouldn't mine seeing a project between the two in the future. Blackbird only proves why Action Bronson is easily one of the illest lyricst in the game right now. 

Strong Arm Steady - Fair Fight ft Ab-Soul, ScHoolBoy Q & Jay Rock

Strong Arm Steady grabs 3/4's of the Black Hippy crew sans Kendrick Lamar for their latest leak Fair Fight from their upcoming project Stereo Type. The track which is produced by Statik Selektah, definitely has that street feel to it. Be sure to cop Stereo Type when it drops August 14th.

[Review] Nomad - For.Not. EP

As DMV artist Nomad prepares his next project Nocebo, he decided to drop this gem late last night. For.Not. is a rather short listen, being only comprised of two tracks, all intended by it's creator. The first track ULIGO produced by DaVe is a rather somber tune about the struggle of trying to pursue a relationship with a friend and ultimately being placed in the 'Friend Zone'. The second ABON is self-produced and more of the "typical" Nomad sound, just straight bars and chillin' on the track.

Even with it's short duration For.Not is still one of the best projects I've heard this year and should serve as a taste of what Nocebo will be when it drops later this year. Although according to Nomad these tracks have nothing on what he has on Nocebo. Nice.

CRASHprez - Prote$tWave

The homie CRASHprez goes in over dat PMF's Pretty Flacko and definitely ripped shit. Props to CRASH for not making the last two minutes of the track drawn out and extremely repetitive like the original. Fuck rap. Prote$tWave. S/O Miles. #TeamWeAintShitButWeHumbleHoe

Talib Kweli - Push Thru ft Curren$y & Kendrick Lamar

Talib Kweli gets Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar for the first official single from his Attack The Block! mixtape. It's good to see Talib branch out and work with other dope artist. All in all a great track, not a fan of the chorus though.

Latepass, I've been (really) busy lately. Swimming Pools (Drank) is the latest single from Kendrick Lamar. Backed by a beat from T-Minus, this is definitely the most mainstream sound I've heard from Kendrick. Odd timing on the release of this record, plus with The Recipe gaining buzz on the radio you'd think Kendrick would hurry up and release the video. Either way good kid, m.A.A.d city drops October 2nd.

Yet another Grammy Family track, this time rMell and Miles Meraki team up for this chill cut. Once again rMell shines on the production, and he and Miles flow well over a sample of Dom Kennedy's PG Click. Some of the best I've heard from the two, it's definitely my favorite Grammy Family release so far.

Album Review: Mike of Doom - Of Doom...

So I said I would review this about two days ago, as did the homie Dave. However, today I decided to overcome my loafage and get to work on this review. Now on to the project itself. Of Doom... is a collection of work by DMV producer/rapper Mike of Doom and showcases his talents as an artist. Mike handles all the production on the tape, and even spits on some of the tracks. The project is 24 tracks deep and I normally don't like when artist have more than 15 tracks on their projects, but the variety of the tape prevents you from losing interest.

Surp - The Lucid Dream of an Insomniac (Mixtape)

Surp dropped an extremely short tape a couple days ago, but it's rather dope so it makes up for it. Two things. First this is probably the best 10 minutes or less of audio that you'll ever hear. Secondly, best intro ever...

After spitting an a cappella version at last nights BET Awards, Ye and Pusha dropped the official version today. With a vocal sample of Ghostface Killah's "Might Healthy" Kanye and Pusha trade bars for the duration of the track. Honestly while the lyrics are there (the Yeezys line being the highlight), the beat and the Ghostdini sample don't work in my opinion. Nonetheless it's a Kanye track so people will gravitate to it regardless of a wack beat or not. G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer due out August 7th.
