Double Feature: Domo Genesis - Arrival & SS4

Domo Genesis seems to be gearing up for the sequel to 2011's Under The Influence as he took to Twitter on 4/20 to release two new tracks "Arrival" which is produced by Left Brain and "SS4" which features production from Flatbush Zombies' Erick The Architect. I do hope/expect the sequel to be better than the original which was to say the least disappointing, however looking back I'll cut Domo some slack since it was his first project with no OF production three years later and with plenty of experience there should be no excuses for a lacking project now. Look for Under The Influence 2 to drop sometime later this year.

The Alchemist & Budgie - The G Code ft Action Bronson, Domo Genesis & Blu

The Alchemist has been a busy man over the last couple of years collaborating with artists and producers, most recently Lord Steppington with Evidence. Next on deck is The Good Book a project that will feature purely gospel samples with London producer Budgie. The two grab Action Bronson, Domo Genesis and Blu for "The G Code" the latest single from the project. All bars, no hook.

Since joining together to form Step Brothers way back in 2009 Alchemist and Evidence fans have been waiting for the duo to release a project. After being in the works for a few years Lord Steppington is finally available, featuring guests such as Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Roc Marci, Styles P, The Whooliganz, Fashawn, Rakaa & Blu.

Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis and Earl Sweatshirt black out over some Nottz production. No word on if this is just a throwaway or from a upcoming project. I want more OF tracks like this and "Oldie".

Smoke DZA lets loose a joint off his upcoming collaborative project Rugby Thompson with producer Harry Fraud featuring Domo Genesis of Odd Future and Black Hippy member ScHoolBoy Q. With a hook composed of a 2 Chainz line, all three rappers turn in great verses over some ill production from La Musica De Harry Fraud. Spotted at B2P.

Look for Rugby Thompson to drop on June 19th. In the meanwhile you can pre-order it over at High Times.

Dropped at 4:20 by Domo Genesis (I wonder why? hmmm), I personally have been waiting for a new project from him and here it is. I have been impressed with his progression in skill lately, and hopefully this won't disappoint. Domo has stated that no OF production will be featured on this tape, which will be interesting to hear how he sounds over non-OF production. Besides sides that light up or don't, either way just enjoy.

UPDATE: This is a very solid project from Domo but other than that it is pretty generic, Domo's never really stood out but what made him different from other weed/normal rappers was the production from Odd Future. With this mixtape I understand what he was trying to do, but to me he lost the sound he created with Rolling Papers. Hopefully in the future his projects feature more OF production.

Sidenote: Top 5 worst interlude of all-time not clever nor funny at all, that was painful to listen to.
