[EP] Louseph Bruise Em' - Summa

Summa is the latest EP from the ever enigmatic Louseph Bruise Em' who has a habit of popping up out of nowhere with entire brand new bodies of work after taking small hiatuses (sounds like a certain blogger I know). As with all of Lou's projects that signature sound is there but the core elements and themes always change. Now with a title like Summa you may be thinking this is some cruise around the city, take a trip to the lake and roast marshmallows type of shit but this is Lou we're talking bout here.

The EP is his interpretation of the season and a self described ode to the 80's which if I had to describe it would be as an combination of insomnia and LSD. Composed of five tracks; three instrumentals, one remix (a very awesome one at that) and a track featuring Jodie Riggs. I really enjoyed the whole project but the last track is definitely my favorite by far mainly because I'm such a fan of how Lou spits I wish he would do it more often. Still GSL.

It seems that Lou isn't finished dropping work just yet as he tweeted this out earlier...

Louseph Bruise Em' - Overboard ft Kendall Elijah

Louseph Bruise Em' has never been afraid to step out and experiment when it comes to his music but his latest drop "Overboard" just might be his most unconventional. Backed by some melancholy production from frequent collaborator Steve Dreez, Lou and Kool Klux Klan's Kendall Elijah speak on love lost and moving on. Be sure to keep a lookout for Lou's Give Me Happy which drops later this year.

Chick Gaynor - Noir 2 (Prod. Louseph Bruise Em')

Maryland's Chick Gaynor has be quietly working on his next project THE BELOVED, aside from last years "Sophistirachet" we haven't heard much from him. Well late last night the Slug God decided to drop "Noir 2" featuring some ill production from frequent collaborator Louseph Bruise Em'. Seems like every time Chick and Lou get together the product is always top notch (collab project maybe?). Chick has always been one of my favorite artists, he brings a unique energy to any track, so it's good to hear some new material from him. With his EP's release date slowly but surely approaching hopefully we'll get more tracks from it. I haven't hear much from his upcoming project but if Chick can stick to the level of quality he has become known for, I have no doubt that THE BELOVED will be some of 2014's best.

[Beat Tape] Louseph Bruise Em' - STUCKinTheSeven

Louseph Bruise Em' aka Latin Lou aka Young Lou is back with a all new beat tape entitled STUCKinTheSeven around twenty minutes long and apparently made all while stuck in a basement. Lou proved he has the ability to create excellent production in no time back when he collaborated with SIR E.U on HÜLAGÜSH (which was made in less then 24 hours) and this project further cements that. Featuring only instrumentals, aside from a few drops from the immaculate Dookie Armstrong50 Cal. and a preview of a song from his upcoming project Give Me Happy. From random DJ Paul vocal samples (great song choice Lou) to what I believe has to be the song that plays in Heaven's elevator right around the twelve minute mark and those unorthodox sound patterns that we've come to expect from Lou it's all here stuck in the seven right along with Lou. To wrap this up, in what has since become a tradition, as I always say good shit Lou and I hope you make it out that basement my friend...you deserve it.

LSD (Louseph Bruise Em' x Steve Dreez) - Pulp

LSD the duo of Louseph Bruise Em' and Steve Dreez come together for "Pulp", the two flawlessly trade verses over the menacing production from Lou to create something Vincent and Jules themselves would've been proud of. Also be sure to check out Dreez' recent project ▣ bumps2012 ▣.

[EP] Louseph Bruise Em' - SHANGRILA

Producer Gawd, Louseph Bruise Em' is back with SHANGRILA another instrumental EP and if his words hold truth his last. Lou stated on Twitter that he will start focusing on rapping and producing together, hopefully this is a sign that his album A W H O L E will drop soon. Back to the tape though, it is Lou once again expanding his sound and experimenting successfully I might add. Most impressively flipping Annie Lennox's "No More I Love You's" recently used in Nicki Minaj's "Your Love".  I've literally run out of ways to describe Lou and his skills, so just listen and form your own opinion. Be sure to check out his other instrumental tapes TRIP and Como Sea and look for his album A W H O L E to drop sometime this year. As always, good shit Lou.

[EP] Louseph Bruise Em' - Como Sea

Producer extraordinaire Louseph Bruise Em' is once again back with another EP, however he keeps it strictly instrumental this time around and that necessarily isn't a bad thing. Lou is easily one of the more talented indie producers out right now and one of my personal favorites, at least in my top 3. One thing about Como Sea that sets it apart from his past works is the fact that Lou made this in about an hours time and that's highly impressive for it to sound so great. I don't know if him being around SIR E.U has made him into the monster that he is, but he definitely is the E.U of the producing game.

To elaborate on that, he and E.U both are able to create such excellent tracks and do so in little to no time at all. However, unlike most artist their work doesn't suffer from the lack of time spent in the creating process. The only drawback is that those projects most often are short in duration, which is my only complaint about Como Sea. Aside from all of that, I highly recommend Como Sea even with it's short duration, it's still one of my favorite projects released in the later half of 2012. Good shit Lou.

Louseph Bruise Em' - Waiting

Rapper and producer extraordinaire Louseph Bruise Em' worked out of his writer's block to drop "Waiting" the coolest shit he's ever wrote ironically. Seriously. I don't know how he does it but Lou always seems to top his previous effort and this time it's even more impressive seeing how he had the dreaded block. Not to many artists seeing the homie on the production side either, one of my personal favorites from Young Lou.

[EP] SIR E.U THE GREAT x Louseph Bruise Em' - HÜLAGÜSH

DMV artists Louseph Bruise Em' and SIR E.U THE GREAT dropped a (extremely) short EP HÜLAGÜSH about a week ago but due to my loafing and other shxt I just got around to posting this. Although the EP is short, it is a rather enjoyable listen mainly due in part to Louseph's production which is just as electric and spazmatic (new word) as E.U. One of the more impressive things about the EP is that I'm sure most of it is freestyled and E.U still manages to do the damn thing.

It's good to hear E.U having fun again with his rhymes, HÜLAGÜSH is more reminiscent of E.U's past projects FXCK and H I P P O P O T A M U S, both of which where more upbeat than his recent works WOMBO and 3000% BLACK EXCELLENCE. SIR E.U claimed that he would be dropping a new EP every Tuesday for the next couple of weeks and if it was any other artist I wouldn't believed it but the Hippo God knows no limits. Until next week...

Sidenote: The homie Louesph informed me that this was actually made in less than 24 hours. Even more impressive. Props to the homies for that.

[EP] Louseph Bruise Em' - LOUSEPHERRINGO Vol. 1 (8-Bit WAVY)

After dropping his last effort TRIP in early April, Louseph Bruise Em' is back with another EP this time featuring some rhymes. LOUSEPHERRINGO is comprised of four short tracks, the first two aren't note worthy aside from the ScHoolBoy Q inspired "BurHday". However, the last two tracks are some of the best I've heard from Lou "A W H O L E" is a amazing instrumental and "Stone Cold STUNNA" is my personal favorite. This tape should serve as just a taste of Louseph's skills as a producer and emcee until his full length project A W H O L E drops this Fall.

Louseph Bruise Em' - Olé (Trés Mediocre)

New track from Louseph Bruise Em' called "Olé (Trés Mediocre)" from his upcoming project A W H O L E. This is definitely the best I've heard from the homie yet, lyrically and flow-wise. I'd even say this is the best joint I've ever got from him. A W H O L E  due out sometime in the Fall.
