If you've been following Digital Drop you'll know that from time to time I like to hit you guys with something that isn't Rap/Hip-Hop well today is one of those days. You guys also know how rare it is that I post instrumentals at all, so with all that in mind enter "Clarke's Dream" from UK producer Gold Panda. I won't get into the details of way I like this track, I just do, simple as that. This is just here for your listening pleasure as a suggestion from your favorite anonymous blogger. I do want to link it all back to Hip-Hop though, I only know who GP is thanks to Pitchfork and more importantly Curren$y all because of this legendary piece of footage here.

[Video] Curren$y & The Jets - "This Is The Life" Pt.2 Documentary

The talented CJ Wallis was in New Orleans for Curren$y's 33rd birthday and captured it all for the next segment in the "This Is The Life" mini documentary series. Watch as The Jets crew prepare and surprise Spitta with his birthday gift and see some performance footage mixed in between. Nice to see the JetLife head honcho's genuine reaction to his surprise gift.

[EP] Curren$y x Smoke DZA x Harry Fraud - The Stage

After back to back tapes with Young Roddy, Curren$y decides to switch it up and grab another JetLifer Smoke DZA and producer extraordinaire Harry Fraud joins in on the fun. While it is shorter in duration than his previous effort with Fraud, it definitely more than makes up for it in the quality of music. 

Sidenote: Keep French Montana on HF production, this might be the best verse from him seriously. 

[Video] Curren$y Set At SOBs

Curren$y recently performed at New York's SOBs, performing some recent joints and some gems. A definite must watch for anyway true Spitta fan, seeing this makes me want to catch a live show even more now. Guest appearances happen along the way but I won't spoil the surprise for those who haven't peeped yet, all I'll say is some were expected and some weren't. 

[EP] Curren$y - 3 Piece Set

Curren$y is always in a giving mood and per norm with Spitta he decided to drop off something for the fans. While in Chicago around Thanksgiving, Curren$y linked up with Thelonius Martin and the result of those (closed) sessions comes in form of 3 Piece Set. As the title suggest the project is comprised of three songs, two of which feature long time Jet Lifer, Young Roddy and it is always good to hear Spitta over some soulful production. At nine minutes in length it's definitely short but the quality of the tracks more than make up for that alone. Kick back, relax and enjoy. 

Curren$y - Boss Dealings ft Noreaga & Styles P

Late last night Curren$y gave his fans a early Halloween treat with his mixtape Priest Andretti. While it's not his best work, it certainly isn't his worse. You can grab the tape in the link above and judge for yourself, however one thing I am sure about is that "Boss Dealings" is one of the best, if not the best joint from the tape. For the track Spitta grabs some New York bosses in Noreaga and Styles P, and all three absolutely do the damn thing.

Talib Kweli releases the video for "Push Thru", nothing special about it except the music and in the end that's all that matters. I wouldn't mind hearing more records from the trio in the future. Kweli's Attack The Block! mixtape coming soon.

Talib Kweli gets Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar for the first official single from his Attack The Block! mixtape. It's good to see Talib branch out and work with other dope artist. All in all a great track, not a fan of the chorus though.

As much as I would like to take credit for this excellent review you're about to read, I sadly cannot. Another video, for another cut off Spitta's excellent album The Stoned Immaculate this time for the 2 Chainz featured and personal favorite Capitol. Although it's a rather simple and generic video the music makes up more than enough for it. I'm glad to see Curren$y finally getting some push and promotion from a label. Respect to Warner Bros. for that.

Another quality cut from Curren$y, off his upcoming album The Stoned Immaculate. Chasin' Papers features Pharrell who puts his own little twist on The Five Stairsteps' Ooh Child. With each drop after drop from the album it is really starting to sound like Spitta's magnum opus.

Nardwuar Vs. Curren$y Part 3: The Nard Strikes Back (Video)

Now apart of Pharrell's i am OTHER, everyone's favorite eccentric Canadian Nardwuar interviews his best friend Curren$y for a record(?) third time. As usual with Nardwuar, gifts were given, impressive musical knowledge was shared and a nice long awkward pause to end it off. 

Curren$y - Capitol ft 2 Chainz

A while back I said how excited I was to hear this collab, and I guess Spitta heard me out. Curren$y sounds right at home over the jazzy production and 2 Chainz proves he can slow it down but still keep that trademark style he has recently become known for.
