Curren$y - Chasin' Papers ft Pharrell
Download: Chasin' Papers
Another quality cut from Curren$y, off his upcoming album The Stoned Immaculate. Chasin' Papers features Pharrell who puts his own little twist on The Five Stairsteps' Ooh Child. With each drop after drop from the album it is really starting to sound like Spitta's magnum opus.
Be sure to cop The Stoned Immaculate when it drops June 5th.

431 & Avionadramida - STTGSYEH
Download: STTGSYEH
The homie Avionadramida and fellow DMV native 431 link up for STTGSYEH a short but sweet track. I haven't heard to much of 431's music besides a few guest verses, but what I've heard always impress and Avion does the damn thing as usual.
Be on the look out for 431's Vivid April LP dropping sometime in the Fall.

Dom Kennedy - My Type Of Party
Download: My Type Of Party
It's nearing Summer time and a lot of party joints are to be expected. Dom Kennedy's My Type Of Party unlike what you may expect from the title, it's not a party record. With a mellow sound provided by DJ Dahi, the beat almost sounds as if 40 made it for Drake's next club single.
Be sure to check out Dom Kennedy's Yellow Album, which drops sometime soon.

Lupe Fiasco - Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)
The first official single from Lupe's upcoming album Food & Liquor 2: TGARA. Backed by a T.R.O.Y. sample, Lupe goes in and does not disappoint. Also, at the end of the video the release date for F&L 2 is reveled and that date is September 25th. Hopefully it will remain that.
For my thoughts on the sample "controversy" head over to Digital Drop's Twitter.

Curren$y - Capitol ft 2 Chainz
A while back I said how excited I was to hear this collab, and I guess Spitta heard me out. Curren$y sounds right at home over the jazzy production and 2 Chainz proves he can slow it down but still keep that trademark style he has recently become known for.
Curren$y's The Stoned Immaculate in stores and on iTunes, June 5th. Available for pre-order now.

Chick Gaynor - O R I G A M I (Mixtape+Review)
Download: O R I G A M I
Chick Gaynor a.k.a. Slug God definitely lives up to his nickname, seeing as his sophomore project Origami was originally due out March 20th. However, I do recall a conversation we had at the time, in which I told Chick that as long as Origami was ill nobody would remember how long it took to make. Well I'm here to say it was definitely worth the wait. Origami is a very cohesive project and I personally can't think of anything negative to say about the tape itself.

Avionadramida - BUMS (Mixtape+Review)
Download: BUMS
After weeks of waiting, Avion finally blesses us with his latest project BUMS. First off let me state how much I appreciated the use of Sister Nancy's BAM BAM for the intro, definitely took me back to my Skate 1 days. The rest of the tape flows well, as does Avion, who seems to be back on his more lyrical tip reminiscent of his Avionadramida project. With BUMS Avion is able to combine the elite lyricism featured on Avionadramida and the maturation of subject matter found on The Recruiting Process.
From the anime sound bites to spitting over DOOM loops everything just simply works. On the downside some tracks can be boring due to the production choices, but for the most part BUMS is an easy listen without being too mellow. The features on the tape from fellow Klan members Kendall Elijah and SIR E.U are easily some of the best verses that I've heard from the two. With Kendall stealing the show on Hajimeru and Avion and E.U exchanging bars on my personal favorite Wrestlemania 97. All together BUMS is another dope project from Avion, and definitely a recommended download.
Standout Tracks: Hajimeru, Solid Daggers, & Wrestlemania 97

Ab-Soul - ILLuminate ft Kendrick Lamar
Download: ILLuminate
Another week, another great Ab-Soul track. This one here is no different, Soulo grabs fellow TDE member Kendrick Lamar for one of the most lyrically strong songs released this year. One of the standout lines from the track come from Soul who brags "I used to wanna rap like Jay-Z, now I feel like I could run laps around Jay-Z". Honestly though who can't at this point. Kendrick does his usual and handles the

The Hood Internet - Pesobedear (A$AP Rocky x Purity Ring)
Download: Pesobedare
With their latest creation, The Hood Internet takes A$AP Rocky's hit Peso and Purity Ring's latest single Obedear to create Pesobedear. With Rocky's slow trill sound and Purity Ring's high energy electro vibe you'd think this combination wouldn't work. However, the Chicago duo find a perfect balance between Rocky's lyrics and the electro synths of Purity Ring to make a fusion of indie electro and hip-hop with a unique sound all to it's own.

A$AP Rocky - Goldie (Video)
A$AP Rocky released visuals earlier today for his lead single Goldie off his upcoming debut album Long.Live.A$AP. One of few videos to come out in recent years that I actually like, I love the way this was shot. In the video we find Rocky and crew in Paris cruising around the Eiffel Tower, mobbing around the city, and living that lavish A$AP lifestyle that is always represented in their videos.
Sidenote: This is what Niggas In Paris should have been, honestly.

Danny Brown x Darq E Freaker - Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)
UK Grime producer Darq E Freaker produces some heat for Danny Brown, who in turns spits a signature verse about popping pills and partying, the highlight being "31 coming soon nigga!". The visuals echo Danny's verse and can be described as the European version of Project X.

Ab-Soul - Empathy ft Alori Joh & JaVonte' (Video)
Ab-Soul releases new visuals for the latest single from his Control System project featuring the late Alori Joh and JaVonte'. More of an R&B vibe from Soulo who actually sticks to singing for the majority of the song and sounds surprisingly well, only spitting a few bars to balance it out.
Rest In Peace to Alori, your beautiful voice will be missed...
TiRon - Love Me Not ft ScHoolBoy Q (prod.Chuck Inglish)
Download: Love Me Not
TiRon and ScHoolBoy Q speak on the opposite sex and the woes of love on this smooth track produced by Chuck Inglish. It's good to hear Q not on his gangster shit every once and a while, TiRon does well enough and Chuck continues his streak of dope beats with this joint, reminds me of some 90s smooth jazz.
