ScHoolBoy Q spits two freestyles for Sway, the first one being on some ill street shit in typical Q fashion. The second an hilarious actual freestyle as the beat threw him off. Chief Keef was also in the on the show although

Lupe Fiasco - Bad Bitch
Download: Bad Bitch
Bad Bitch is the next single from Lupe's upcoming album Food & Liquor II: TGARA. In classic Lupe Fiasco fashion, the name of the track may not necessarily reflect the content of the song. With this here Lupe speaks on how the term "bad bitch" is perceived and received from woman, men, and even younger children. Great record from Lu, I definitely enjoyed this more than his last single Around My Way, although that was a great track too.
Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album arrives September 25th.

Frank Ocean - Channel Orange (Artwork & Tracklist)
Frank Ocean played his album for a few select members of the media yesterday and today he reveled the artwork and the tracklist for his Def Jam debut Channel Orange with Complex. Features include Andre 3000, fellow Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt and John Mayer. I'm really interested this album, the features primarily are intriguing. Frank Ocean's Channel Orange will be available July 17th.

Wiz Khalifa - Telescope ft 50 Cent
Download: Telescope
The unlikely combination of Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent comes together for Telescope and the two sound surprisingly well over some chill production from Harry Fraud. It's good to see 50 branching out and working with other artist. While this combination sounds good, I can't wait to see how his track with ScHoolBoy Q turns out.

Matt McGhee - Break Em' Down
Download: Break Em' Down
Matt McGhee dropped the first single from his upcoming album AWARD late last night. This is definitely the best I've ever heard him spit, although the track does give off an Ab-Soul vibe, that's not a bad thing anyway. Plus it doesn't feel as if Matt or the producer HLLWDHENNY set out to achieve that. Besides all that, great track from Matt. AWARD coming soon.
Be sure to grab Matt's latest project GIRLS in the meantime til AWARD drops.

Fred J. Riley - Pokey Oaks
Download: Pokey Oaks
First off let me start by saying this is probably the most unique submission I've ever received. I don't know much about Fred J. Riley all I know is he can spit. I received his track Pokey Oaks earlier today and my attention was immediately grabbed by the title. Upon listening I was even more impressed by the beat which sampled Pokemon Red's theme. Fred's lyrics were on point, the only thing I could say needed improvement was his flow but it isn't something that takes away from the track. He definitely has his own style, which is hard to find in artist these days. Anyway, I look foward to future tracks from him and seeing his skills grow in the future.
Be sure to check out the rest of his music here.

The Alchemist - Flight Confirmation ft Danny Brown & ScHoolBoy Q
Download: Flight Confirmation
The Alchemist lets loose this gem from his upcoming album Russian Roulette featuring the dynamic duo of Danny Brown and ScHoolBoy Q. Over some heat from Al, Danny and Q deliver their usual high energy flows from Danny 's usual infatuation with Adderall to Q hitting licks and wanting to run train with Danny on the girl from Kendrick's song. I definitely can't wait to see what else The Alchemist has cooked up. Spotted at Most-Blunted.
Russian Roulette drops July 17th.

rMell - FRECKLES (Mixtape)
Download: FRECKLES
FRECKLES is the latest mixtape from DMV rapper/producer rMell and just as with his EP Hipsters & Hypebeast, it is meant to hold fans over until his highly anticpated album NEOGEO drops. Some corny punchlines mixed with his usual dope lyrics make up the majority of the tracks and with numerous DJ tags through the mixtape you can tell rMell was having fun with this project. I definitely wouldn't recommend this tape as a first listen if you're new to rMell. As always with rMell's projects the beats are on point the highlight being the self-produced Bologna which features no samples, something that rMell has been criticized about using in the past. All in all FRECKLES is a great tape for rMell's fans, which is what he set it out to be.

Steezy Grizzlies - G U N D A M (Mixtape)
Download: G U N D A M
When Steezy Grizzlies dropped Punchout earlier this year I said while it shows promise, I would want to hear a ten to twelve track project for him. With G U N D A M he heard me out and delivered. The progression is what stuck out to me on G U N D A M. From lyrics, to delivery Steezy has improved. Also featured are fellow SNB members Rashad Stark, Sketch Ghouler, Johny Locus, and C.H.E.S.S. Team members Miles Meraki and Knight. With production from rMell, Jaylen!, PrXnce Hall, Miles Meraki and more. G U N D A M features growth from Steezy as an artist and I can only see him getting better with time.

Matt McGhee - GIRLS (Mixtape)
Download: GIRLS
I'll be honest. I'm late on this post, however in my defense I heard about the tape I just didn't have the free time to listen to it. With that being said as I found myself having nothing to do last night I decided to give it a listen. This was also my first time listening to Matt McGhee and I have to say I was impressed. Matt has a sharp flow to go along with witty punchlines and lyrics. It is a very cohesive project from start to finish. I might even say it got better towards the end, something a lot of projects don't do. To wrap this up, GIRLS is a very solid mixtape from Matt McGhee and just a taste of his overall skills, I look foward to hearing his album AWARD.

Curren$y - The Stoned Immaculate Review by Dave Caldwell
As much as I would like to take credit for this excellent review you're about to read, I sadly cannot. The following review was written by good friend, fellow blogger, and the Trap's Basquiat Dave Caldwell of Back2Pluto. This is the first of what I hope to be many collaborations between Digital Drop, Dave and Back2Pluto. Nothing more to say other than enjoy.
G.O.O.D. Music - Mercy (Video)
The collective known as G.O.O.D. Music, come together for a simple video, although the effects used throughout give it a unique one-shot-one-take feel. I definitely still think that 2 Chainz takes the cake for best verse the build up/anticipation of his verse alone decides it for me. Possible cameo of Rihanna Teyana Taylor and definite cameo of CuDi. Cruel Summer currently has no release date as far as I know but it has to drop this summer, right?
SpaceGhostPurrp - Mysterious Phonk: Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp (Album Stream)
Thanks to Rolling Stone, the Raider Klan Chief SpaceGhostPurrp's album Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp is available for stream. Fresh off his deal with indie label 4AD, SGP has never sounded better (literally) the record label provided SGP a place to record and a engineer to work with to re-master and re-record some of his classics as well as adding new material. Now that SGP has the backing of a label indie or not, it will be interesting to see what he does in the next year or so. Be sure to grab the album when it drops June 12th.

Danny Brown releases some creative visuals for his Scion sponsored track Grown Up. In the video we see Brown's childhood and even Danny as a child himself, missing teeth (explained) and all. Definitely one of the more creative videos to come out this year.

Curren$y - Capitol ft 2 Chainz (Video)
Another video, for another cut off Spitta's excellent album The Stoned Immaculate this time for the 2 Chainz featured and personal favorite Capitol. Although it's a rather simple and generic video the music makes up more than enough for it. I'm glad to see Curren$y finally getting some push and promotion from a label. Respect to Warner Bros. for that.

A$AP Rocky - Brand New Guy ft ScHoolBoy Q (Video)
A$AP Rocky and ScHoolBoy Q come together for Brand New Guy in what is probably the most well known A$AP joint besides Pe$o and Purple Swag. From Rocky and the Mob moshing in L.A. to Q spiting his verse in New York, both rappers' hometowns are featured and come together in this video much like Rocky and Q themselves. The two even pay a little homage to 50 Cent in the video by hanging upside down and spitting their respective verses much like 50 did back in the day.

Childish Gambino - Unnecessary ft ScHoolBoy Q
Download: Unnecessary
This joint leaked awhile, but I decided against posting it until a CDQ/tagless dirty version was released. I didn't think it would take this long but none-the-less it's here. Great joint from Gambino and Q, the former 's mixtape is due out soon.
